Questions, answered
Does it actually clean, or just steam?
It cleans. Steam, air and treatment do the work that solvent does in a traditional machine, which is why it can replace dry cleaning for most garments.
Is it safe for delicate fabrics?
It is gentler than solvent cleaning, which is where the up-to-4x garment lifetime figure comes from. Some structured or delicate pieces still get hand attention and an extra day.
