A garment studio built for Oakhurst
The Garment Studio is a neighbourhood garment care studio and self-service laundromat at 655 E Lake Dr in Oakhurst, Decatur. Newly renovated, freshly equipped, and run by people you will actually meet at the counter.
We built the studio around one idea: your clothes should come back cleaner, last longer, and never smell like a chemical plant.
Garment care that does not smell like solvent
Conventional dry cleaning in metro Atlanta usually means one thing: your garments get bagged, loaded on a truck, driven to a wholesale plant, run through a perchloroethylene machine with hundreds of strangers' clothes, and driven back. That is why the bag smells the way it does.
We wanted the opposite — a small studio where the cleaning happens on site, where the equipment is new, and where the default process is solvent-free. So we installed Presso robotic steam-and-air garment care units alongside high-capacity washers and dryers, and put both under one roof in Oakhurst.
The result is a studio that handles a two-piece suit and a week of family laundry on the same visit, with the same people accountable for both.
